While keeping you pain-free and operating with a sound nervous system is our main job, I also recognize encouragement is one of the best things for peoples hearts and lives. One of the small ways we can bring encouragement is sharing some of the stories that go with serving the amazing people we get to see everyday: you!
This week, we are going to go over my two favorite stretches for the spine. They hit the neck and shoulders and the lower back and hips. They don't take long and can really help open up locked up posture.
Sometimes, to get my mind going when I sit down to write, I look over the previous week's (electronic) appointment book to recall my conversations with different patients that came in. Of course, everyone knows what the topic of the day is. No surprise there!
This week's topic is how to avoid the pain from sitting around too much and working from home. Watch the video and give it a try!
Well, this is a first... on a lot of levels! This week's edition of "Overheard in the Office" is actually a preemptive topic! I am not a prophet, but I am pretty sure that over the next 30 days, I am going to hear the question, "Why are you wearing a mask?"
A wise man once said to me, "The time is going to pass, whether you do something with it or not." Here at the office, we have taken this opportunity for a "hard reset," a fresh start, a chance to clean up some of the habits, patterns, and procedures that really didn't serve our patients or practice very well.
As most of you are probably aware, Governor Holcomb of Indiana issued a Shelter in Place Directive starting Wednesday March 25th, 2020. This impacts just about everyone, except Health Care and other essential industry workers.
As expected, we have seen fewer than normal patient visits as everyone is figuring out how to weather this most unique storm. Probably the most talked about topic other than the corona virus is how people's plans and daily routines have been changed and altered.
You don't need a re-hash on the topic from me, but I did want to let you know we are open and seeing patients, unless and until we are notified that we should not be otherwise. So, how about a Q/A?
