It is not the awesome healing power of chiropractic, not the beautiful and welcoming smiles of our fantastic staff, not even the witty and informative blog posts done by yours truly, it is... The Choo Choo Train Table!
When I asked the gang at our staff meeting what they had overheard this last week in the office, a great little story came out. Dr. Sue has a patient with a little boy who is around two or three years old. He has actually been accompanying his parents here since before he was born, although we have not had the occasion to treat him as of yet. Anyway, this little guy had been going to several different doctors' offices as of late with his family, but Friday was different. Friday he was coming to our office! Unsure of the response he might get, his dad told him they needed to get ready to go see Dr. Sue. He needn't have worried, as soon as he heard where they were going, he jumped up changed his shoes (no explanation for that one) and got his coat, he knew where he was going, to the doctors' office with a train table!
If you have been in our office in the last 20 years, I know you have seen it. It sits unassumingly in the corner, sometimes occupied, sometimes waiting for the next set of little hands to come by. Best piece of office furniture we have. Everybody likes it, the only downside is when you have to leave. But don't worry, it will be here the next time you come. We don't even charge to play on it!
So, if you are ever really having a bad day, stop in and for a smile from the ladies at the front, and take a spin around the train track, you don't even have to change your shoes to come in!
